Welcome to My World at Keighley Music Lessons

Thank you for coming to join me on your musical journey .

My journey began at the young age of 3 years old when I started to play the piano .

I then discovered my singing voice and started singing solos age five in school and my church in my village Houghton Conquest in Bedfordshire .

I joined the church choir and I learnt Georgian Chant and to sing from musty psalter books and Latin masses

I then moved from the local primary school at started attended The Dame Alice Harpur School.

i stayed there until I was sixteen .

Bedford had a very wonderful Musical scene and i was a member of Bedford Youth Choir and we did our first Concert at The Royal Albert Hall in 1983 and i still have the recording on cassette !!!

I was a member of Ampthill Singers and i attended the Pilgrim Saturday Music School .

Singing , playing the piano , theory and the Euphonium

The music department at my school was very good and i was a member of many different groups and i started my singing lessons with Audrey Grigg who was head of Music .

I sang one of my first big solos with the harp in the ceremony of carols by Britten .

Sadly Miss Grigg died and I sang at a concert in dedication to her .

So that is my beginning
