​​Sharon Selman is a distinguished  Opera Singer based in Yorkshire, celebrated for her powerful soprano voice with a unique timbre.

Sharon brings a wealth of experience as a solo guest artist at charity events, performing alongside pianists, backing tracks, and full symphony orchestras since 1985.

​

Her impressive repertoire includes performances at renowned venues across England, Scotland, and Wales, at the Clore Studio at the Royal Opera House and the Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall

As a solo artist, she has captivated audiences at prestigious locations like Buxton Opera House, Sadler's Wells Theatre, and the Festival Theatre in Edinburgh, as well as the Corn Exchange in Bedford and the Lansdowne Club in Mayfair, Fishmongers Hall where she performed in the esteemed company of HRH Duke of Kent.

Trained by Jenny Hill, a protégé of Elvira di Hidalgo—who specialized in Bel Canto technique and taught Maria Callas—Sharon passionately shares her love for Opera and classical music, reaching a wide audience with her exceptional artistry.

Sharon studied singing & piano at the Guildhall School of Music Junior Department and then went on to study at the West London Institute of Higher Education .

​

Her musical journey was highly influenced by her experienced gained as a a member of the BBC Symphony Chorus, National Youth Choir of Great Britain and British Youth Opera .

​

This introduced her to world class international orchestras, composers and singers .

Later she continued her advanced studies with Jenny Hill her coach Peter Gellhorn .
